今人不见古时月，今月曾经照古人。
People today never know the ancient moon,
yet on ancient faces it once shone.
并刀如水，吴盐胜雪，纤指破新橙。
Blade gleaming like water glow,
fine salt whiter than snow,
slender fingers slicing a fresh tangelo.
君问归期未有期，巴山夜雨涨秋池。
何当共剪西窗烛，却话巴山夜雨时。
I falter when you ask when I shall return,
On Ba Mountain the pond fills up by the autumn rain.
When shall we trim the candle by the west window,
and talk of this night this rain on Ba Mountain?
山静似太古，日长如小年。
In the mountains tranquil and clear,
a single day unfolds into a year.
不知何处雨，已觉此间凉。
Rain falls somewhere beyond sight,
yet here the coolness has arrived.
