Hi all,



I am feeling really good when writing this report -- 537 students from

various institutes in Shanghai joined us at the University World Tour at

Shanghai Jiaotong University.



It was Saturday afternoon. The venue was one-hour ride from the city.

All these could not prevent people from rushing to see us. The venue had

only 250 seats, so more than half of our audience were sitting on the

floor, or standing around. (Richard, please share with us the photos you

took. You have the best camera!) All the students received a copy of the

localized version of NetBeans World Tour CD, a T-Shirt, and instruction

to student SCJP discount and Java Cup code competition. 1/5 of them also

received various gifts such as Solaris books, NetBeans books, dukes,

cups for their participation during the event. One iPod lucky draw was

announced at the end of the event.



I truly believe that the audience were having fun with us throughout the

3-hour event. Thanks to the encouraging keynote by Bob Brewin, and all

the eye-catching and WOW-catching content delivered by Angela Caicedo,

Michael Li, Patrick Gu, and John Jiang (yes I do talks too).

清华MBA，你不觉得丢人么？

昨天中午和同事们一起到清华的食堂吃午饭，路过经管学院的时候不经意间看见
门口一个巨大的宣传板上花花绿绿的有好多我不认识的单词。走过去一看，不由
得大大得分特了。说老实话，我见过很多英语很烂的人，但是真没见过烂到这种
程度还跑出来吓人的。早就听说所谓的清华MBA 就是一群烂人，但是一直没有亲
见，所以也一直没有相信，总是善良的以为以清华的名声它就是再烂也烂不到哪
里去吧。然而今天我真的是彻底的相信了这个听起来像是谣言的真相。你看这么
大一个宣传板毫无廉耻的站在那里，经管学院的老师和学生每天走来走去的，他
们是不是会觉得脸红呢？

我想，他们肯定不会觉得脸红。

刚好手里拿着A1200 ，拍个照片，立此存照。

当前 许多高校已开设（或准备开设）Java程序设 计课 程，该课程已成为高校计算机基础教学的骨干课程之一。在教育部计算机基础课程教学指导委员会制定的白皮书中，Java课程也被列为核心课程。为了促进 Java课程的建设与改革，鼓励教师在Java教学当中向学生讲授最新的技术和工具，提高学生学习Java技术的兴趣，Sun 公司决定于2006年9 月1 日至2006年12月31日间举办第二届Java Cup全国大学生信息技术大奖赛。

与2005年举办的第一届Java Cup全国大学生信息技术大奖赛相比较，这一届的比赛具有更加广泛的群众基础。2006年暑期，Sun 公司与多家单位合作，在北京、郑州、杭州、贵阳、西安、大连、厦门等7 所城市分别举办8 场“2006高校Java课程暑期教学研修班”。本次研修班依托Sun 中国工程研究院在Java领域的雄厚基础，邀请在Java开发领域具有丰富经验丰富的工程师对Java技术的发展动向进行介绍。又借助合作单位提供的计算 设 施，将理论讲解与上机训练相结合，通过实际的软件开发训练确保参加研修班的老师深入理解Java技术，掌握最新的开发工具。来自 全国各地的288名Java教师参加了这一次2006高校Java可成熟期教学研修班，他们的参与必将给这一届的Java Cup全国大学生信息技术大奖赛注入更多的新鲜血液。

179 Java Teachers to Teach NetBeans in China!

This is true. 179 Java teachers in China indicate that they are going to teach NetBeans in their Java classes in the coming Fall semester!

After 5 weeks of continuous travel and teaching, the SDN China team has just finished 8 training for university Java teachers in 7 cities (Beijing, Zhengzhou, Hangzhou, Dalian, Xi'An, Guiyang, Xiamen). 288 Java teachers from institutes across the country attended this training. They were refreshed with the latest advancements in Java technology and the NetBeans IDE. Before this training, only 4% (12) of them were experienced NetBeans user. After this training, 45% (130) indicated that NetBeans will be their prefered Java IDE, and 62% (179) indicated that they were going to teaching NetBeans in their Java classes in the coming semester. Another 22% (64) indicated that they would consider teaching NetBeans in their Java classes.

Some other interesting points from this training:

-- 205 of the teachers will open a Java class in the coming Fall semester.
-- 179 of the teachers will teaching NetBeans in the coming Fall semester.
-- 215 of the teachers will recommend NetBeans to their colleagues and students.
-- 194 of the teachers will participate in the SDN China Java Teaching Assistance program.
-- 117 of the teachers will encourage their students to participate in the coming Java Cup code competition.
-- 80 of the teachers will encourage their students to take the SCJP exam.
-- 197 of the teachers are willing to join the Sun Academic Initiative (SAI).

两天前的事情了，当时没有来得及记下来，补一个吧。

话说那天我去建行还信用卡的欠款（这个信用卡太恶心了，必须到柜台还款，无法
设定自动还款和ATM 还款，过两天一定要取消掉），拿到号条一看，排在我前面的
有69个。还好办公室比较近，就回去查了会电子邮件，大概半个小时后过来一看，
竟然还有40多个在我前面。这时候我想起来小微的Blog了，于是决定照葫芦画瓢一
个。

俺没有小微那么嚣张，不能够公然在垃圾筒里乱翻乱拣。还好垃圾筒就在饮水机的旁
边，于是装做倒水的样子到那里逛逛，一边接水一边往垃圾筒里瞄来瞄去。坦率地说
一开始我并没有抱太大希望的，没想到竟然看见了一张跟显示牌上的号码很接近的号
条。欣喜若狂地捡起来一看，大大的分特阿，竟然刚刚被叫过了！

不过，失败是成功的一半。在刚才那张号条的鼓励下，俺已经全然顾不上风度了，干
脆就把垃圾筒最上层几张显得并不太脏的号条都拣了上来，逐个翻看。嘿嘿，真的又
发现了一个，比我从排号机上拿到的小三十呢，马上又要被叫到了。于是象个宝贝似
的把拣来的号条弄平整，到椅子那里继续排队去了。五分钟之后，终于叫到我啦，赶
紧冲上去把事情半了，办理的过程又花了一分钟三十六秒。

嘿嘿，各位大哥大姐，如果你去银行排过队的话，你就知道三十多个号不等一个小时
至少也是半个小时以上了。时间就是生命和金钱啊，如果没有这垃圾筒，我还要在这
里浪费多少生命和金钱啊。

所以说，感谢小微，感谢垃圾筒。

当然，我走出银行的时候，也没有忘记将我原先的那张号条扔到垃圾筒里，希望能够
对那些读过小微（或者我）Blog的人有用。

清扬婉兮厦门之厦门游记

前两天有粉丝反应说俺好久没有贴照片了，出来冒个泡儿，说明俺清扬婉兮对于粉丝
的要求向来是有求必应的。

照片的背景是厦门悦华酒店的小花园，还是爸爸拿着他的A1200 拍的。爸爸自从有了
那台破手机之后，就越来越不愿意带照相机出门啦，甚至是他刚刚从美国带回来的那
台D50 (听说是一台很好玩的相机呃)也不带，说是太重了。哼，要我说其实就是懒，
不是么？



雄赳赳气昂昂我举着红缨枪，哼哼。



妈妈，快点过来。我们大战一百回合！



呜呜呜，被打倒了我。



哼哼，打不过妈妈。那边有一群鹅，我欺负欺负它们去。



哇哇哇哇，妈妈救命啊～～～～

那个姐姐光光屁股呢！

早上在厦门悦华酒店吃早饭，大堂里有一尊维纳斯的雕塑，清扬婉兮对这尊雕塑表现
出了莫大的兴趣。她围着这尊雕塑走了几圈，大声说道：

－－ 那个姐姐洗澡呢！
－－ 那个姐姐没有穿衣服呢！
－－ 那个姐姐光光屁股呢！

周围吃早餐的人看着清扬婉兮那一幅兴致盎然的样子，都忍不住哈哈大笑。小人听见
旁边的人在笑，还以为是在夸她呢，于是越发叫的起劲了。

在电梯里，是酒店康体中心的水疗广告，也是一张没穿衣服的美人照片。虽然处理的
比较模糊，可是骗不过我们家清扬婉兮的火目‌金睛，人家指着那照片又叫开了：

－－ 那个姐姐洗澡呢！
－－ 那个姐姐没有穿衣服呢！
－－ 那个姐姐光光屁股呢！

记忆中，小人第一次感叹姐姐光光屁股洗澡似乎是几个前在中华世纪坛看一个画展。
后来每每看见类似的雕塑或者是图片，小人都会眉开眼笑，大声赞美。今天咪咪实在
忍不住了，告诉小人说今后不能够在公共场所说光光屁股的话了。小人听了频频点头
称是：

－－ 恩，光光场所不说了。

我和咪咪就差没有分特过去了。

Program Introduction：

Sun Microsystems, Inc. is launching a new initiative – Sun Campus Ambassador Program – to promote Sun's technology and development tools to academic developers.

Sun is looking for graduate or senior level students with a strong background in software development/programming as Sun Campus Ambassadors. The Campus Ambassadors will work in conjunction with the Global Education and Research team at Sun to drive adoption of Sun's platforms (OpenSolaris and Java) and development tools among Academic Developers (students, faculty, researchers and IT development communities). Sun will provide extensive training to the Campus Ambassadors on Sun technologies, including OpenSolaris, Java, Netbeans, and Sun Studio. The Campus Ambassadors would work approximately 80 hours per semester to promote Sun technology and development tools.
